Porcelain Rising - Your Friday's Short Horror Pick

I love fucked up dolls (the more the fucked up the better), to the point to where I actually have a collection of said type of dolls. One of my favorite horror movie moments is from “Poltergeist” and the fight between the weird clown doll and the kid. And when I talk about fucked up dolls, I’m not talking about the ones you can find in any toy stores and your big box stores today (maybe at some point down the line when these dolls have a little mileage and life to them). Most of the ones I have collected are from the mid-1950’s. There’s nothing like walking into antique & thrift stores, searching the bins of things discarded.

With that said, hence today’s short horror pick:  The Porcelain Rising. Where a menacing porcelain  doll comes to life at night, terrorizing a young girl because the doll is in need of a human body. A little like the Chucky from the Child's Play franchise. But let's face it. That franchise is little long in the the tooth now and either it needs to be put to bed as they say or -GASP!- rebooted.

"Porcelain Rising" is written, produced and directed  by Rachel Tatham and stars Maddison Andrews, Terry Perkins and Amy Shaw.
